Thin folio. Unpaginated (42pp.) Creamcolored cloth with full color pasteon to the upper

board. A fine copy. The dustwrapper is fine with the first state code of 1070 and the first state

list of seven books on the rear flap, but with a second state price of $5.95

and with the Caldecott sticker on the upper cover. All indicia for first

printing present except dustwrapper price and the applied Caldecott sticker.

Inscribed by Sendak

on the front free endpaper, "For the Fosters Cock a ­
